Official Rules

No purchase or payment is necessary to enter or win. A purchase does not improve your chances of winning. Purchasing tokens provides additional plays, but a free method of entry (AMOE) is available as described in Section 3.

The contest is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Void where prohibited by law.

Important: Residents of Florida (FL) and New York (NY) are eligible to play but are excluded from cash prize payouts due to state-specific sweepstakes regulations.

Employees, officers, directors, and immediate family members of Rankd and its affiliates are not eligible to win.

To enter without purchase, send an email to hello@playrankd.app with today's date in the subject line (format: MM/DD/YYYY) and your registered Rankd username in the body. One free entry will be credited to your account per day. AMOE entries are subject to verification and must comply with all other contest rules.

Each day, a daily prompt is posted in the Rankd app before 12:00 PM Eastern Time. Players submit their rankings and predictions before the close time (9:00 PM ET). Points are awarded based on how closely a player's predictions match the consensus rankings of all other players that day. Scoring details are available in the app under "How it works."

The monthly prize pool ("the pot") is seeded with a minimum of $1,000.00 USD at the start of each calendar month. An additional 75% of every token purchase made during the month is added to the pot. The final pot amount is determined at 11:59 PM ET on the last day of each calendar month.

Prize distribution is as follows (percentages are of the total pot):

• Top 1% of players — 30% of pot, split equally
• Top 1–2% of players — 15% of pot, split equally
• Top 2–3% of players — 10% of pot, split equally
• Top 3–5% of players — 10% of pot, split equally
• Top 5–10% of players — 15% of pot, split equally
• Remaining 20% rolls over to the following month's seeded amount

Winners are determined by total monthly points accumulated through valid gameplay. In the event of a tie, the tied players will share equally in the prize allocated to their tier.

A minimum of 10 valid daily submissions during the calendar month is required to qualify for prizes. Accounts suspected of fraudulent activity, manipulation, or abuse will be disqualified and may be permanently banned.

Winners will be notified via the email address associated with their Rankd account within 5 business days of the close of the contest month. Winners must respond within 60 days of notification to claim their prize.

Unclaimed prizes will be forfeited and added to the following month's pot.

Prizes will be paid via ACH bank transfer, Venmo, or PayPal, at the winner's election. Winners may be required to complete a W-9 tax form. All federal, state, and local taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the winner. Prizes over $600 USD will be reported to the IRS.

Rankd reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the contest at any time for reasons including but not limited to fraud, technical failure, or events beyond Rankd's control. Rankd is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, or incomplete entries.

By entering, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Rankd, which are final and binding. Participants also agree to release and hold harmless Rankd, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims arising out of participation in the contest.
